I suppose you're right, i think maybe making it an elite and shortening the time would make it more balanced.

i like the idea but i'm just wondering how tidal wave would leave water on the ground, you would need a water sprite what whatnot for that.. but its possible to change it to add knockdown maybe, and have it act like a larger gale but water damage.
wind up strike can also be like a whirlwind type attack like the axe aoe attack (blanked out on it )
but yeah overall i like it

edit* just realized that skills such as frozen ground dont actually freeze the ground, so it could possibly act like that skill and just throw a terrain alteration icon up

ok youve got me there, but if put into guild wars terms its almost like having two weapons. one imobalizes them and the other kills them.

Well I'm a fan, for its originality if nothing else - it's not a werewolf, assassin or other D2 knockoff that most of the theoretical builds out there are. Reminds me of the frog hunters in the Song of Ice and Fire books (can't remember offhand their name) - but they had magical skills as well.

im pretty sure that this style of fighting was a real startegy in ancient roman gladiatorial fights, aside with all the elemental stuff. i think these guys are also called fish fighters? Anyways, the nets had spikes on them so they could be effective. either the info i have just given is real, or its vague bits and pieces i put together from the beginning of latin 1

Thats true but in a sense is adding to your defence by hindering the enemies attack. You know what would be cool for the hurricane attack. I always wished that there could be some field spells that effect everyone, allys and enemies, that effect a very wide range of things. Since hurricanes are obviously big this may work out as something like that. Cast it everyone is knocked down every 10 seconds and dmg for air dmg and water dmg every 2 seconds. That would be cool and I dont think it would be over powering since it would effect everyone including you.
For the tidal wave spell maybe you would have to cast it in conjunction with a spell that added water around so it could be used. A water druid or elemental that just adds a source of water to pull and use in the tidal wave.
Fan of gladiators and the retarii was the best! Their cool fish helmet should be added with the big eyes.

I think it would be a nice change (plus there needs to me another melee-ish character type anyway) to the current professions. However, I think some of the names would have to be changed around.

hmm agility seems too extreme to me, retiarii/warrior using a stance that increases attack speed+IWAY+agility at max level would equal= INSANE SPEED, so i actually think a lower value to that would make more sense..much lower, but overall sounds like a decent innovative idea, congratulations you arent lame

ok good to know im not lame. and i was thinking maybe how strength deosnt work for secondary professions, maybe agility wouldnt work with warrior stances like frenzy. and maybe it wouldn't stack with speed skills. i dont know i would have to think about it.
